Daniel Vélez-Climent, alias “Lero Lero”. He has a base of education and practice in architecture, landscape architecture and project management. His technical preparation is evidenced by the multi-scale vision in which he approaches each project. This holistic attitude and trans-disciplinary study has led him to the construction and specifications of spaces as well as the use and social consequences on public and private habitats. His practice includes the vision of the architect, the artist, the humanist, the landscape architect and, in short, the designer.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico [half puertorrican, half spanish], I feel a affinity and desired to leave a colorful legacy throughout the world.

My art and professional practice is heavily influenced by the styles and color palette from Spain and Latin America. The “Alebrijes” from Mexico, the “Vegigantes from Puerto Rico and the Cubism from Spain [specially Pablo Picasso], have shaped my style in combination with the beautiful colors from our flora and fauna.

Most of my public art have been made in communities of low incomes, with high incidences of social problems and composed mainly by immigrants. My art style recognizes this situations, and addresses them in a sensible and respectful manner.
