Sean Coffey:

My name is Sean Coffey and I am an artist living and working in the Chambersburg and Pittsburgh areas of Pennsylvania. I am the owner and operator of The Coffey Shop, a full-time creative studio in Chambersburg and Pittsburgh that specializes in mural painting, fine arts production, furniture design, sculpture, and interactive space design. My work uses a variety of unique techniques that complement one another to blur the boarders between realism and abstraction, pulling inspiration from many themes in order to illuminate aspects of daily life and how they contribute to the larger narrative of what it means to be human.
I grew up in Chambersburg, PA, a small farm town known for it’s peaches, the Appalachian trail, and the site of many significant scenes in American history. My upbringing exposed me to a variety of skills including building log cabins, fine art painting, and automotive mechanics. I moved to Pittsburgh at the age of 18 and attained a Bachelors Degree of Science in Industrial Design. I used this degree working as an engineer designing and fabricating architectural products. In 2012, I opened The Coffey Shop, and I have been designing and creating custom projects for clients ever since.
