Biography

Jenna Horner:

The intention of my work is to encourage a dialogue about the beauty and complexity of the natural world while also celebrating our intrinsic, shared humanity. I am a local muralist and consider painting public spaces to be an opportunity to share positive words and imagery with the community. In addition to murals, I work as a multi-media artist employing various materials to build unique, highly textured surfaces. I thrive on bringing new life to forgotten objects and spaces. Whether painting a mural on a street corner or creating a custom painting for a home, I believe each piece of work is an opportunity to tell a story. My passion for creating is central to how I define myself as a person. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a minor in art history. I am currently living in Gainesville, Florida, working as a full-time artist while teaching painting and yoga part-time.
