Biography

Brian Skalak is a multi-disciplinary creative based in Minneapolis and the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Second Sight Visuals. Since late 2016, Second Sight Visuals has served as an extension and expression of the overwhelming amount of creative endeavors that fill his lizard brain, resulting in live visuals for numerous festivals and concerts, interactive installations, visual experiences for music, and a collection of nearly infinite experiments in between. Interaction is at the core of everything I produce. I do not believe that art should be stagnant or one-dimensional. A theme that I commonly tackle is translation. In bending technology to my will, spaces and environments are created that allow for magic to become not only plausible, but possible. It’s this sense of modern magic and active participation that blend together to spread ideas and reposition imaginations as future opportunities.
