Johan Fredrik Källman (b. 1983, Munkedal, Sweden) is a Swedish light artist known for his interactive installations that merge light, sound, color, and optics. Originally trained as a carpenter, he later pursued a career in the arts, earning a BFA (2018–2021) and MFA (2021–2023) in Fine Art Photography from Gothenburg University.
Källman’s work bridges art and science, creating immersive, participatory experiences in public spaces. His renowned installation Luxtriplicata has been exhibited at major international light festivals, including InLight (USA), Lumen Festival (Canada), and Island of Lights Smögen (Sweden). He received the Munkedal Culture Award in 2024 for his artistic contributions. Committed to making art accessible, Källman sees light art as a tool for democratizing creativity and fostering community engagement.
