<blockquote>I am a South Florida-based international artist, accomplished in several disciplines including murals, illustration, and design. I received art education in Europe and the United States: I got my Bachelor in Textile Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts of Moldova (1995), followed by a Post-Graduate Study Scholarship to Greece (2003). In 2008 I received my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from Florida Atlantic University.
As a public artist, with over twenty public art projects throughout South Florida, I aim to bring the element of excitement, engagement, and enlightenment to the visitors. I see each public art project as an opportunity to create a unique landmark and a community identifier artwork. Besides murals, I have created designs for terrazzo floors, fences, and wooden doors. My work has been recognized by public art institutions, and I had the honor to receive many awards throughout the years. Many of my projects are featured in public buildings, parks, museums, commercial spaces, and private collections in the United States and in countries such as Greece, Moldova, Switzerland, Mexico, and Lithuania.
My source of inspiration has always been connected to each project’s specified requirements and purpose. I attempt to create a set of visual language components that speak to the patrons and to the public, making the project user-specific and site-specific. In my complex and dynamic compositions, I focus on concepts, such as harmony and coexistence.
As a mural artist and designer, I have worked with historians, special project coordinators, managers, firefighters and fire rescue chiefs, artists consultants, designers, non-profits, community people, and high school students.</blockquote>
