Olga Muzician:
My name is Olga Muzician and I am owner of Olga Muzician Studio, a design studio specializing in hand-lettering, custom murals, chalkboards and illustration. I was born and raised in Lviv, Ukraine and moved to the United States when I was 11 years old. I studied art my whole life, beginning with drawing from life and oil painting before I went to college for graphic design, which taught me a lot about typography and letterer shapes. After working as an art director in Hearst magazines for about 8 years and graduating from Pratt Institute with a Masters of Communications Design, I started my own business specializing in the two things I loved the most, drawing and typography, which merged into hand lettering. After a couple of years of running my business, I started painting more murals and working with townships on public art projects. In the 1.5 years that I've been painting murals, I've been able to complete 25 murals in various restaurants, businesses and townships, 9 of which were public art projects. I am often inspired by nature in my work because one of my favorite things to do aside from art is hiking, so I love painting floral and botanical elements along with my lettering.
