Daniela Sanchez Vegas

5600 NW 7th AVE. Studio #106, Fl, United States

Artist | Muralist | Public Art Specialist

Daniela Sanchez Vegas is a Venezuelan-born, Miami-based multidisciplinary artist recognized for her vibrant, large-scale murals and public artworks that merge bold color, geometry, and nature-inspired narratives. With over 15 years of experience, her practice spans painting, sculpture, mixed media, and immersive installations, with a strong focus on transforming public spaces into meaningful, engaging environments.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Daniela developed an early connection to color and artistic expression. She holds a degree in Social Communication from Universidad Santa María (2006) and a degree in Graphic Design from Universidad U-Creativa in Costa Rica (2010). While living in Costa Rica (2007–2016), she founded “Re-Inventando Muebles Ecológicos,” a recognized eco-design initiative that transformed reclaimed materials into functional works of art—establishing her long-standing commitment to sustainability and creative reuse.

After relocating to the United States in 2016, Daniela expanded her technical expertise through studio work in sculpture, ceramics, and large-scale production. However, it was in the years following the global pandemic that her career experienced a defining evolution.

In 2021, she created the large-scale painting collection “The Beginning of Awake Awareness,” a deeply personal body of work developed during a time of global uncertainty. This collection marked a turning point in her practice, later expanding into the digital space through NFTs and opening new directions in her artistic exploration.

Following this period, Daniela shifted her focus strongly toward public art and monumental muralism, completing numerous large-scale projects across the United States and internationally. Her work includes expansive murals and public installations in cities such as Miami, New York, Missouri, and beyond, as well as projects in Guatemala, Canada, and China. Her murals—some spanning hundreds of feet—are known for their dynamic compositions, uplifting energy, and ability to create a sense of identity and connection within communities.

Among her most notable public works is a hand-painted aluminum sculpture installed at Maurice A. Ferré Park in Miami (2023), part of the city’s public art program. This project reflects her ability to merge sculptural form with vibrant surface design in highly visible civic spaces.

In recognition of her growing impact in the public art field, Daniela was awarded a residency at MIFA (Miami International Fine Arts), where she established her studio and continues to expand her practice through experimentation in mixed media and large-scale concepts. Her participation in MIFA has further positioned her within a network of contemporary artists and cultural initiatives in Miami.

Daniela’s work has been exhibited in Miami, California, and New York, and she continues to actively develop commissioned projects for both public and private clients. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to move fluidly between studio practice and large-scale production, managing complex projects while maintaining a strong artistic vision.

Driven by the philosophy “Create with no boundaries,” Daniela Sanchez Vegas approaches each project as an opportunity to inspire, connect, and leave a lasting visual legacy. Her work is defined by its vibrant language of color, ecological awareness, and its power to transform everyday spaces into meaningful artistic experiences.
