I am inspired by color and detail that gives the viewer a "breath" in the course of their day. My work is designed to beautify and surprise. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After graduating from college with my BFA I put my paint brushes down in favor of working in a corporate capacity. I moved to New York and worked for Exxon Office Systems - a new division for Exxon at that time. I transferred back to Florida with Exxon three years later. After two more years I left Exxon to work for Xerox and after three years left to start my own company - Signature Chocolates - which specialized in providing premiums and incentives for corporations, hotels, and cruise lines. In both corporate positions I was responsible for sales quotas that were approximately $250,000 - $700,000 per year. My own business grossed approximately $350,000 per year. My business experience is a valuable asset in the realm of Public Art because while I am very creative, I also have the gift of administration and accounting. I know how to collaborate and work in and with a team. After raising our family I renewed a more active painting life that found me exhibiting in festivals, shows, and galleries since 2011. In 2015 the realm of Public Art captured my interest. In order to develop knowledge and understanding I have served since 2015 as an apprentice to a nationally recognized public artist and have been volunteering with Palm Beach County Art in Public Places in order to gain the necessary perspectives of artist, administrator, local government, and the many agencies that need to work in concert together to create, fabricate and install public artworks. I am confident that I can, and will, bring more to the table than my artistic perspective and excellence. I am adept at many skills that make a project successful from concept to completion.
